I’ve been cultivating our vineyards at Bechtheim and Westhofen together with my family and team for more than 15 years. There have been outstanding years and challenging years – because nature writes its own rules. As a vintner you have to adapt to these and try to prepare the vineyards and vines as well as you can for whatever might come. We believe that only healthy and strong plants can withstand the weather conditions, which is why we invest most of our work in cultivating our vineyards. We put almost a thousand hours of manual work into each hectare of cropland each year. We let time run its course, because in the end it’s time that gives our Rieslings their full splendour.
