Insights into our work for the 2025 vintage
We are about to start the grape harvest. In a few weeks, the harvest will begin – probably at the beginning of September. We have had an intensive time in the vineyard. Much of it remains mostly invisible. This is where what defines the character of a vintage begins. In recent months, we have carefully nurtured our vines: the canopy has been raised, shoots have been straightened, and in individual parcels, they have also been tied. All with the goal of maintaining the natural balance of the vines, because healthy, vital vines are the foundation for high-quality grapes.

Patience, observation, and intuition
For several weeks now, we have been selectively reducing the yield. Each vine is inspected individually. Where there are too many grapes, we remove them – not on principle, but out of conviction. For Riesling, we will wait a little longer. In the coming one to two weeks, we will reduce the yield by another 30 to 40 percent.
The grapes are loose-berried, healthy, and small-grained. The weather in recent weeks has been favorable: dry with occasional rain – just right to protect the fruit and preserve its aromatic potential.
Now every detail matters. Our focus is on keeping the foliage and grapes healthy for as long as possible. With every step we take, we get closer to what we want for this vintage: wines with origin, structure, and character. If the weather cooperates – nothing stands in the way of a great vintage.
