Dreissigacker stands for wines brought to their fullest: the best grapes from biodynamically farmed vineyards, picked by hand in selective passes at exactly the right moment and aged gently. During ageing the wines are given time to unfold slowly and to develop their brilliance and intensity. Our aim is to make the soils, the microclimate and the exposure of our sites taste-able. Strict yield reduction, demanding biodynamic work by hand and meticulous work in the cellar are the pillars of that philosophy.

The Dreissigacker estate wines are the way into the Dreissigacker world. Even here you taste what is typical of these wines: the sites the grapes grow on and the Dreissigacker signature.

One Riesling, eight vintages. An idea matured over the past years and brought forth a wine that is singular, a genuine innovation in the German wine world, and that shows how much pleasure, soul and variety lie in combining several vintages that complement each other perfectly: VINTAGES. It is a wine you do not want to stop drinking, and a foretaste of where the world of our matured Rieslings can lead.

With a village wine the origin of the grapes is narrowed, so individual characteristics come through more clearly in the taste. A village wine draws on several sites, but all of them lie within the same village. That creates a clear link between the wine and where it comes from. Our Dreissigacker village wines ripen exclusively in the top sites of Bechtheim and Westhofen. The characteristic variety of the soils and the high degree of ripeness give the wines their particular expression.

In Dreissigacker Wunderwerk two entirely opposite sites of Rheinhessen come together in sensory experiences without precedent: the single-vineyard cuvées Wunderwerk Riesling, Wunderwerk Pinot Gris and Wunderwerk Pinot Noir. Each cuvée holds the contrary aromas of the Bechtheim sun and the cool of the Westhofen sites. Only our patient ageing process brings them together into a uniquely complex whole. We deliberately left the purity of the single site behind to make room for a wonder: unusual wines, uncompromising and endlessly harmonious at the same time.

The harvest here is early compared with the still wines. Only undamaged bunches are laid by hand into small standard crates, so that they reach the winery intact and can be processed quickly. To preserve the crisp acidity and the light minerality we skip any skin contact and press the whole bunches gently, immediately after picking.

Ageing Pinot Blanc in 500-litre oak casks: with this Jochen Dreissigacker sets a new style. Through an unusual appetite for innovation, Weingut Dreissigacker has developed in Einzigacker a singular, independent Pinot Blanc that shows pure aromatics and an enormous ageing potential. What makes this pairing of Pinot Blanc and the fine wood notes of the tonneau work is time, courage and an extremely high standard of craft. The result is a precisely aged white of real power that loses none of its elegance. A wine to remember.

Our philosophy at Dreissigacker is to make wines with an enormous ageing potential. On principle we release our top wines only once they begin to show their full aroma. Until then our vintages are given all the time they need to rest and mature in our cellars under ideal conditions.
