Westhofen Chardonnay Village Wine 2023

The Westhofen Chardonnay was aged 90% in tonneau and 10% in barrique oak barrels. After 20 months of maturation on the full lees, the wine rested on the fine lees until bottling. As is customary at Dreissigacker, particular care is taken to ensure gentle processing at every step – the grapes are moved exclusively by gravity to preserve the wine's natural structure and precision. The Chardonnay grape variety stands for elegant yet powerful wines – a style that perfectly suits the cool microclimate of the Westhofen vineyards. These conditions emphasize freshness and clarity, while aging in wood and extended lees contact lend the wine depth, richness, and balance. This results in a Chardonnay with fine minerality, a supple texture, and great aging potential – a village wine that harmoniously combines finesse and expression.
