The Geyersberg Riesling 2015 is entirely one of a kind, shaped by its particular site and its many-sided soils. The south-facing Bechtheim slope, with sandy loess over weathered limestone, gives the wine its unmistakable spice and, more strikingly still, a compelling smokiness that sets it apart. That smokiness comes from the weathered limestone in the soil combined with the site's particular microclimate. It gives the wine a depth and complexity noticeable from the first nose.

The Rosengarten Riesling 2015 is finesse itself, from a single vineyard only a few steps from the Geyersberg and yet speaking an entirely different language. The pure south-facing slope is lighter here, cooler and a touch more open to the wind, which gives the wine a notable elegance. The different soil structure, finer, airier, with a subtle minerality, marks the character clearly: where the Geyersberg is powerful, the Rosengarten is fine-drawn and almost weightless.

Kirchspiel Riesling 2015 convinces through finesse and elegance. The site, a cool east-facing slope in Westhofen, sits on pure limestone. Its particular climate and the pure limestone soil give the wines from here an incomparable minerality and salinity. These limestone soils are so dominant that they shape the terroir strongly; looking at the ground, one could almost be in Burgundy. They make the Kirchspiel 2015 a wine of great elegance and finesse. The wines from this single vineyard are marked by a cool, refined structure that will gain further depth and expression over the years.
